Amira Willighagen (10) and Alma Deutscher (9) performed at a UNICEF Gala under the patronage of Sir Roger Moore, Goodwill Ambassador to UNICEF, in Hotel Guarda Golf, Crans Montana, Switzerland, on 20.12.2014. As an encore, they sang a duet from the new opera that Alma is composing now: Cinderella. They had less than an hour to rehearse it, so this encore has an air of improvisation about it, but they both enjoyed themeselves very much, and so did Sir Roger and the audience.

Apologies for the extremely high level of background noise in the recording. This was a family concert with many very young children in the audience.

Alma plays here on a 1/2-size violin made by Pietro Pallotta, kindly lent to her by Sheri Grinshpon, and with a bow made especially for her by Master Luthier Amnon Weinstein.

אינטרמצו עם אריק – עלמה אליזבת דויטשר – מטאטא החלומות

עלמה אליזבת דויטשר נולדה בשנת 2005 היא מלחינה, פסנתרנית וכנרת תושבת אנגליה ומפורסמת כילדת פלא בתחום המוזיקה קלאסית. עלמה מנגנת בפסנתר ובכינור מגיל שלוש, והחלה לחבר מוזיקה כבר בגיל ארבע. בגיל 6 היא הלחינה את הסונטה הראשונה שלה ובגיל 7 היא חיברה אופרה קצרה המבוססת על הסיפור "מטאטא החלומות" מאת ניל גיימן. האופרה הוגשה לתחרות המנוהלת על ידי האופרה האנגלית הלאומית וזכתה להערכה רבה, אך לא הגיעה בגמר התחרות למקום הראשון. בקונצרט הסיום בפסטיבל קול המוסיקה שהתקיים בישראל באוגוסט 2013, הוצגה האופרה בביצוע ובתרגום לעברית. עלמה הופיעה בקונצרטים בבריטניה, איטליה וגרמניה. היא ניגנה לפני נשיא המדינה שמעון פרס במשכנו בירושלים והופיעה במסגרת הקורס לכנרים צעירים בקשת אילון. בינואר 2013 נערך קונצרט מיצירותיה במוזיאון מנדלסון בברלין. באוגוסט 2013, השתתפה בנגינת רביעית מיתרים מפרי עטה בפסטיבל המוסיקה של קרנס-מונטנה בשוויץ, בשנה זו יצא אלבומה הראשון עם שש מיצירותיה וכעת היא עובדת על כתיבת אופרה ארוכה יותר המבוססת על סיפורה של סינדרלה.
