סרגיי רחמנינוב מנגן בפסנתר את יצירתו קונצ'רטו לפסנתר מס' 2

רחמנינוב (1873-1943) מנגן בעצמו פרק הראשון (מודרטו) מהקונצ'רטו השני שלו לפסנתר. נכתב בין 1900 ל 1901,
רחמנינוב עבד על הרכבו במשך שעות רבות ביום במשך יותר מחצי שנה.
זו היתה העבודה הגדולה הראשונה שיצר מאז התקבל בצורה גרועה הקונצ'רטו לפסנתר הראשון לפני ארבע שנים קודם לכן. התוצאה, לעומת זאת, נותר אחת מהיצירות מוכרות והאהובות ביותר של רחמנינוב שהם אחד מעמודי התווך ברפרטואר הפסנתר של היום. הקונצ'רטו בוצע לראשונה במלואו ב -27 באוקטובר 1901 במוסקבה. אוסף תקליטים זו נרשם בשנת 1929 על ידי RCA מנצח עם התזמורת
